Raphael, Archangel of Healing

Bark for the trees and skin for the beasts
Fingers and leaves
Roots and toes
Sticky red and white like bone

See them fold in greeting
doubled back and bulging
The blood marches forth in celebration
as feast of sin is left uneaten
